Community Grants Program
The Township of Mapleton supports community groups, services clubs, not-for-profits and voluntary organizations through the Community Grants Program.
The Community Grants Policy establishes a variety of streams for grant funding:
Municipal Grants
These grants are used to fund third-party programs and initiatives that Township Council determines to be beneficial to the Mapleton Community.
2025 recipients of this funding include:
- The Grove Youth Wellness Hub
- Seniors Centre for Excellence
- Minto Mapleton Family Health Team
Operating Grants
These grants are used by not-for-profit and charitable corporations to support a project, program or event that provides a positive impact on the community and/or supports growth by building capacity, resilience and sustainability.
“In-Kind” Grants
These grants are used for labour, equipment and services from the Township.
Capital Grants (formerly 50/50)
These grants can be used by Service Clubs and Community Groups to support the one-time purchase or funding of a physical asset that will be used to help the applicant carry out a program, project or event.
2025 Recipients of this funding include:
- Drayton Kinettes
- Drayton Figure Skating Club
- Drayton-Mapleton Agricultural Society
- Drayton Rotary Club
- Moorefield Horticultural Society
- Alma Optimists Club
Athletic and Cultural Bursaries
These can be used to offset the costs of participating in athletic and cultural activities at the Provincial, National and International Level.
Applications for funding under this program can be submitted at any time utilized the standard application form.
2026 Application Intake
The intake for applications under the 2026 Community Grants Program launched October 1, 2025. Applications will be accepted until 5pm (ET) on October 31st to be considered for the 2026 Municipal grants program.
Applications may be submitted under one (1) of three (3) streams:
- Municipal Grants
- Operating Grants
- Capital Grants (formerly 50/50)
