Design Guidelines and Standards
The design of all municipal services in the Township of Mapleton are to be based on the
specifications and standards in effect at the time of approval and in full accordance with all
By-Laws that exists within the Township. It is incumbent upon the Developers and the
Developer’s Consultants to be aware of all By-laws and other regulations which may
otherwise affect the works as described within this document. All plans are to be approved
before they are to be used for the construction of services. Such approval shall in no way
relieve the Consulting Engineer from providing an adequate and safe design.
The material presented herein is intended as a guideline in the production of designs for
roads and services for development projects within the Township. While specific design
guidelines are provided herein, the Ontario Provincial Standard Drawings and Specifications
form the basis for the construction requirements and shall be adhered to at all times unless
directed otherwise by these guidelines.
