Asset Management
The Township of Mapleton’s asset management program aims to improve and sustain asset management practices. Overall, the goal of the asset management program is to help the Township maintain its assets at appropriate levels of service by applying the right intervention, to the right asset, at the right time. The Asset Management Plan is Township's road map for sustainable infrastructure planning going forward.
The Township’s 2022 Asset Management Plan – Core Assets was completed and approved by Council on July 9th, 2022. The Township’s 2024 Asset Management Plan – Non-Core Assets was completed and approved by Council on September 10th, 2024. This brings the Township into compliance with the July 1, 2024, requirements of Ontario Regulation 588/17.
Additional assets will be added to the plan as it is updated.
The Asset Management Plan is a comprehensive long-term plan for capital assets that is developed using the best available information to support capital and financial decision-making.
Future infrastructure funding is conditional upon the Township having an up-to-date asset management plan.
