Significant Weather Event Declared - Township of Mapleton 

The Township of Mapleton has declared a Significant Weather Event (SWE) at 1:00pm on Monday December 29, 2025, in accordance with Section 16.9 of Ontario Regulation 239/02.

The Significant Weather Event has been declared due to the forecasted and/or observed weather conditions. This declaration is intended to notify the public that extra caution should be exercised when travelling on roads and sidewalks maintained by the Township of Mapleton. Due to weather conditions, it may take longer than usual to restore roadways and sidewalks. 

This Significant Weather Event will remain in effect until further notice.
