Community Involvement

The Township of Mapleton is excited to welcome participants to EmpowerHER Day, a free youth empowerment event created in collaboration with 15+ local business owners and community leaders. EmowerHER is on June 13, 2026 from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM at the Alma Community Centre.

Event Includes:

• Lunch and snacks 

• Swag bags for all participants

• Interactive activities and workshops led by local women in business and leadership

Age Groups & Registration:

• Ages 6–8 Registration

• Ages 9–12 Registration

• Ages 13–16 Registration

Do you have a business in Mapleton? We want to show the community what you do!

We’re offering FREE promotional reels to help share your story — created in partnership with the Township of Mapleton. We will come to your business and film various clips and interviews to turn into a one minute video that we then share on our social media. All you need to do is set up a time to film and record audio clips for the video.

These business visits are done in collaboration with the Township of Mapleton and the Council members and it is a way for businesses to showcase what they do and have a chance to speak directly with council.

To enter your photo(s) into the Contest, fill out our Mapleton Photo Contest Form. You will be prompted to enter your name, address and phone number as well as certify that you have read the terms and conditions and photo release documents. You will be prompted to choose a theme and upload your image. It’s as simple as that!

If your photo includes any identifiable individuals, a completed Model Release Form must also be submitted.

Join us for a free Parent Information Session at EmpowerHER Day 💗

This meaningful session will provide parents and caregivers with practical tools and insights to support the girls in their lives with confidence, communication, and emotional strength.

Free to attend, registration is required: EmpowerHER Day Parent Information Registration Form
