Township of Mapleton Vaccine Requirement for Facilities

Updated

The Township of Mapleton is committed to ensuring the Health and Safety of our employees as well as our residents. The COVID-19 vaccine has been proven to be effective in preventing serious outcomes and severe illness while also reducing the spread of the COIVD-19 infection.
The Ontario Government mandated that “As of September 22, 2021, Ontarians will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access certain public settings and facilities. This approach focuses on higher-risk indoor public settings where face coverings cannot always be worn”. Mapleton Township will follow all guidelines as set out by the Province of Ontario.
This applies to the following facilities;
- PMD Arena
- Moorefield Community Centre
- Alma Community Centre
Patrons under 18 years of age who are entering the indoor premises of a facility used for sports and recreational fitness activities solely for the purpose of actively participating in an organized sport will be exempt, this will not include any spectators, parents or guardians.
