NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING FOR AN AMENDMENT
TO THE MAPLETON ZONING BY-LAW AND
NOTICE OF COMPLETE APPLICATION - ZBA 2010-10

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Mapleton has received a complete application to consider a proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2000-84, pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended. 

PUBLIC MEETING Mapleton Council will consider this application at their meeting scheduled for:

THE SUBJECT LAND is located on E. Part of Lot 8, Concession 12 and is Municipally known as 7690 12th Line.  The property is approximately 4.3 ha. (10.8 ac.) in size and is occupied by dwelling and vacant barn.

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the amendment is to rezone the property to provide relief from certain provisions of Section 4.5, Farm Related Occupation, of the Comprehensive Zoning By-law. All buildings constructed in conjunction with such a use are not to exceed 1,851.45 square feet. The proposed farm related occupation is a woodworking business, which will occupy approximately 2600 sq.ft. of the existing 3,600 sq.ft. vacant barn.  The applicants are also proposing to have 4 employees.  Consideration may also be given to relief from other Farm Related Occupation provisions if required.

MAKING AN ORAL OR WRITTEN SUBMISSION
Any person or public body is entitled to attend the public meeting and make written or oral submissions on the proposed zoning by-law amendment.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Mapleton before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Township of Mapleton to the Ontario Municipal Board.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Township of Mapleton before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
