               ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
PUBLIC WORKS

The Township of Mapleton is seeking a highly motivated, individual with excellent organizational and customer service skills to join our Public Works Department as an Administrative Assistant.

The successful applicant will primarily support the Township’s Public Works Department in the day to day administrative functions reporting directly to the Director of Public Works.   Interaction with the public plays an important role as this position also includes reception and front counter duties. 

Qualifications:

In addition to excellent customer service skills, the successful applicant will possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Office software.  Experience with public works operations and/or a post-secondary education in Business or Public Administration or a related field is a definite asset.

Financial Analyst/Tax Collector

Minutes from the Guelph and Kitchener/Waterloo areas, the Township of Mapleton, is seeking a highly motivated, detail orientated individual with accounting and municipal tax-related experience and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to join our Finance Team as a Financial Analyst/Tax Collector.

The successful applicant will perform the statutory duties of the tax collector and oversee the day to day accounts payable, receivable and payroll functions, reporting directly to the Director of Finance.

The successful applicant will possess a post-secondary education in an accounting-related program and a minimum three year’s tax-related experience.
